We are offering all known owners, a limited right of first refusal, regarding the original Fred Gibb ZL1 ordered, 1969 aluminum engine Camaros, a.k.a. COPO 9560, which are registered with the sYc, in order to purchase a Nickey Chicago built 5th generation Camaro, with a matching Fred Gibb Serial number.

If you own one of the original 1969 ZL1 Fred Gibb Camaros and would like to have Nickey build a matching serialized 5th generation commemorative Camaro for you, then please contact us.

For example: We contacted the owner of ZL1 number one and he chose to pass on the opportunity to have us build that car for him.

We had several inquiries regarding FG serial number one and one of those customers has chosen to take that spot and purchase serial number 1. This Camaro will be FG10001.

These special Camaros are approved and officially licensed by Helen and Nancy Gibb and will be limited to a production run of only 50 cars, plus of course the two prototypes.

Stefano, what are the basic build specs of the "production" FG cars and ballpark price? Are you working with anyone for color matching, etc?

The approx cost range including a base 1SS LS, 2010 SS Camaro Coupe will be $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 or more.

Custom non factory paint jobs will be available in the traditional 1969 ZL1 colors, by the Super Car Workshop.

I'll have the specs of the basic FG427 posted soon, however, the customer has much latitude regarding the build and/or options.

1-50 will have real LS based 427s.

Big HP needs an upgraded fuel system. We use a "deuce" double custom made pump for 650rwhp up to approx. 900rwhp and a tripple for 1,000rwhp or more.

(Yes, we have a Nickey Camaro, work in progress which will produce more than 1,000 hp to the rear wheels, which will be able to be used as a daily driver.)

We have to add a different computer control module for the pumps as well as a special upgraded wiring harness.

Getting all that power to hook on street tires is going to be tough. The first 1/4 mile shakedown runs should be at the Super Car Reunion comming up soon.

Thanks Stefano! As things look right now, doesn't look like Mom and I will be able to make it to the SuperCAR Reunion. Hip is great, but now the knee pain is causing discomfort to even walk. We are going day to day, and maybe Thursday will be better as to be able to come on Friday....TO THE TRACK!!!!! The "HELMET"is READY! I know Bob and Nancy are coming for sure FRIDAY, and hope SOMEONE will get a photo or two of Bob with his FGPT2 at the starting line! Don't think he will race it, but a ride down the track for him would be sooooo great. Listen......I rode with BOB MANY times in his chevelles when he was in High School, and many times after....HE CAN SLAM THE GEARS WITH THE BEST OF THEM.....of course I'm not too bad myself.......MY MOM TAUGHT ME HOW! Dad was good too, but Mom had MUCH MORE PATIENCE with a 15/16 year old GIRL!Anyway, if we don't make it, hope to see everyone in CHICAGO. n.g.
