Bob Ashton, one of my barn finds was at the last show. It was black and it was a little 'different'. There was a lot of gold under the hood.
It was completely restored by the current owner, but I wanted to see if you could guess which one it was with the clues provided.
It is a BIG car. I regret no longer owning it, but I would have gone broke restoring it. Only deep pockets could own the car now.
It was not that far from the front entrance. Can you guess?

ok, I'll make it easy..

I always considered this the first muscle car. Cherry picked Hemi motors (zero tolerance or they get used on imperials), no mirrors ever (very cool, no need to look back), built just for speed.

I miss it, but it was cool to see that it got restored correctly. That stupid air cleaner cost me $3K years ago to replace, they always get lost on these cars. http://www.mcacn.com/gallery/Gerstner/image0029.jpg

Now that is one outstanding car! The restoration was really nice and it was a great car to show that factory muscle actually started a lot sooner then some think.

Now that was fun!

here is a picture just after rince off of getting it home, I think it was stored since 71 or 78, engine was preserved nicely, but I had to change the tank. other pictures I have need to be cropped to protect privacy of a previous owner.

Beautiful...

When I was in high school (57-61), a few of the rich kids would drive their parents cars to school, usually when it was about time for school to get out for the summer. I recall that one year one of the kids had his mothers black 56 300 like the one above, and another kid had his dads 57 Desoto Adventurer convertible. The burn out competition that year was absolutely awesome. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif
