Great Car your Scrambler...I'm sure that Dave Kanners was not worried one bit. Spent many a day at Da Grove back in the 70's. Saw that Hornet run many times, I seem to remember it ripping off 8.50's at the time. Those AMC Pro Stocks were FAST:)

Hummmmmm!!!.......Looks like some of the burnout pic's were taken during a "Controlled" acceleration event....(Dragstrip)....and others were not!!........Now I know where those tire marks I see all over town came from.........and....after 40 years of abuse it's no wonder why the rear leaf spring just broke........LOL.....and they didn't even have Chinese parts back then......

Great car! Many of you might not know this, but the guy who penned the article - Bruce Hampson went on to edit Super Chevy. When published by Argus, Bruce truly took the magazine to new levels and if my memory serves me correctly, it reached it's highest circulation levels ever. I worked for Bruce and from my perspective he was one of the best. It was truly great times at Argus back then. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

Sorry for getting off track. I'm jealous of the SCRambler <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/drool.gif
