I thought it would be appropriate to post about the SAAC MkI Mustang #004 which was purchased by my friend Anthony. It all started form a simple post I made here:

I'll admit that I did not know what a SAAC car was when Charley first posted, but had no doubt if he considered it a fast car then it would be worth owning.
Every other Fox body we looked at wasn't able to compare. The original SSC Saleen we looked at had a bunch of recent motor work, but the cold start manners left much to be desired, and the hp it made on the chassis dyno was underwhelming (seller provided).
The fact is, in 1992 to have a factory built Mustang making 460hp, running 11's, having a rollbar and other chassis bracing, 4 wheel disc and 5 lug's and all the brake cooling and suspension that this car has...Well that pretty much sums up what everyone who owned or wanted a Mustang dreamed their car could be. The #004 car Charley offered was one of only 3 made and the #002 car was totaled by the press. One in a lifetime shot at owning a Supercar that my buddy Anthony was looking for!
After the car arrived, it had to be checked out and inspected for PA. We were very pleased to hear that the car suffered from none of the typical symptoms of a car that has spent most of it's life NOT being driven.
We had not received the package from Cobra Automotive yet (detailing what they had done for Rick Kopec when he owned it in 2008), and just wanted to make sure that the HP the car was making was safe, so on the dyno she went to have the A/F ratio confirmed.

So with 400 rwhp and 400 ft-lbs making to the street with nice safe A/F everyone couldn't be happier!
