Many years ago, when I was living in Ventnor, NJ, there was a gentleman from Maryland who would vacation on my street. He owned a red '73 455 Trans Am and his son would drive a Riverside gold and black 1969 Corvette big block roadster. It had an L88 hood, black side pipes and "L88" stickers on the hood. His last name was Rappaport and, as I recall, he was a lawyer in MD.
Just curious if anyone knows of this car if it was, in fact, an L88. The main reason I question it's authenticity is because Mr. Rappaport changed the decals on his Trans Ams shaker to read "SD 455" even though it was a standard 455. I wouldn't have put it past him to put the L88 decals on the "Vette's hood.
