Sure would be nice to know more about the where about this car has been sitting for years. We need the story, how you found the car Rick. It just shows that cars like this are still around. Which gives us 1968 Nova enthusiasts hope to find their own needle in a hay stack someday?

Rick 68 parts are getting harder to find which I am sure you know. Rick I just noticed if you buy anymore 1968 nova’s you will have no more room in your user profile…LOL

Hats off to all parties involved…

Found in Indiana from what I was told earlier this year. Neat Nova. Make a hot rod out of it!

Tommy is correct. We suspect it's the Jackie Mcknight, Harrell 427 converted car but completely UNdocumentated at this time.

Dan Palchanes would be a good person to put a phone call in to Rick. I know he has a handle on that stuff especially 68 novas.

RichP was instrumental in my purchase. Once he and I had talked Brian Henderson of SuperCar Workshop flew down to check the car out and the deal was done. My thanks to both for their assistance.

hello,im kinda new to this site .i bough a 71 s.s. nova 6 months ago and its abit of a mystry to me yet. it was delivered to arrmon r smith in york on 9/9/70 the vin number is 114271w117254 its set up for and appears to be a big block nova car. heater etc.but none were made in 71? could this be a left over 70? the previous owner who is deceased used to live close to me. he always said it was a yenko.but i know its not.he bought it thru a reletive of his many years ago and built a 427 stroker motor for it and died,it was stored for 7 years.i purchased it from his widow for $4000 i would just like to know if you can tell by the serial number what motor came in the car.everyone who looked at the car says its defi etly a big block nova. thank you.

I know some years ago John Hooper had a FG Nova he bought with help from Bill Porterfield. I saw the car a few times and it was Red, but don't know if it started life "dressed in that outfit". Hooper put a rollbar in it and planned to do some nostalgia events, but I kinda remember him selling the car before it ever had a drivetrain installed. I don't think this car is THAT car, but if not, has IT been accounted for at this time? Memory tells me Porterfield found it and could verify it's authenticity. And.....GREAT JOB on this find! Always love these type of finds and congrats to all involved!

The story goes like this. They are not FG they are Grecian Green. The car your talking about is #21.

Bill nor Hooper found the car. Bill bought the car CHEAP , than sold it to Hooper. This car was then sold to Larry Scarth. I think he is in Bellflower Ca.
Jude H. bought it and sold it. Don't know where it went then. The Vin # is 370138. The car was missing the trim tag when it was found. I know that car very well. The car had a roll bar when they got the car.
MISSISSIPPI REBEL

Mr. Howie is correct. Last I knew the car was in a collection in Texas I believe.
