As you know, the MCACN team is always looking for ways to "raise the bar" and keep things interesting.

To me, hearing the stories and the history of our beloved Muscle Cars and Corvettes right from the original owners is not only a whole lot of fun, but also info from the source is priceless.

Several sYc Members I know are original owners, and I have had the pleasure of spending some quality time with them hearing some really cool stories. Mr. Barnhart and Mr. Cumby obviously come to mind!

So the questions of the day are, should we host an Original Owners Special Showcase display for MCACN V 2013, and if YOU are an original owner, would you like to join us and share both your car and some memories with us?

BTW; peer pressure is a wonderful thing when it comes to the MCACN show...so help me out here! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/youguysrock.gif

I for one think that would be awesome. It might get tiring for the owners to tell the story over and over all weekend but it would certainly be cool.

Add Ray Morrison and his original owner 68 Fred Gibb Nova. also, I restored a 63 Chevy II for an original owner and she is now 88 years old. I know she would love to sit and talk to people. Unfortunately it is just a 4-door, 6 cyl car but cool none the less.

I like it! Would be a cool forum to unite original owners with cars that have become seperated. I know of several people who have made contact with their car's OO.

I spoke with Jerry Frailey the other day and he said he has been invited to the original owners display this year. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Great news.

Ryan

PS: Bob A: Is the original owners display for all years? Many original owners at NOCC, do you need more? Gary Place 72, Chuck Morse 69, Roger Day 69, plus several more.

This one has exceeded my expectations and we now have 14 confirmed participants with cars ranging from 1962-1974. Take a look at this lineup;

1.1962 Chrysler 300 Sport, Turquoise, Denielle in memory of Ann Armstrong
2.1965 Corvette 396, Blue, Laurel Wimpffen
3.1967 Camaro, Cream w/Mod-top, Roger Huntley
4.1967 GTO, Red, Denny & Pat Kloha
5.1967 Chevelle SS, Red, Gary Gerstner
6.1967 Impala SS 427, Red, Ron Hoeft
7.1968 Impala SS Convertible, Gold, Thomas O’Connor
8.1968 Cutlass S Ramrod, Turquoise, David Heilala
9.1968 GTO, Turquoise, Bob Bruzek
10.1969 Camaro ZL1, Orange, Ken Barnhart
11.1969 Chevelle SS, Orange, Jerry Frailey
12.1970 El Camino SS, Black, Robert Inhoff
13.1972 GTO, Blue, Bill Nawrot
14.1974 Charger, Scott Spirakes

As you can see, this is an awesome group of cars and an even better group of owners. Can you hear the stories?

Oh...and one more thing. Perhaps some peer pressure can convince a certain owner of a certain car that would look really nice next to that black on black LS5 El Camino that has been invited would help make this one even better.
<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif

THANKS to all who have signed up...this is going to be awesome!
