I just received word this morning that my friend Ronnie Evans passed away this morning from a heart attack. He was one of my closest friends and a drag racer all his life. A fellow 409er.

Prayers sent to his family and friends.

Looks like he truly got into his passions, not a sidelines kind of guy....

RIP.

Yes, that was a tough one. A great drag racer from the early 409 years and it was always a pleasure to take a walk down memory lane with "Wildfire" at the local car shows. One of the fastest 409 cars in the Country!

He had already lost his son to complications from diabetes.

So sorry to hear this Verne. But I'm sure one of Ronnie's greatest treasures was your friendship.

My sincere condolences to Ronnie's family, and to you Sir. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/flag.gif

For any of you who might want to attend the service, everyone is to meet at the New Hanover Methodist Church on Swamp Pike in Gilbertsville at noon this coming Sat. His race car will be on an open trailer leading the procession to the funeral home for the service.
I'm thinking I should show up in my '62. I think he'd like that.
