This Camaro was the old Dave Strickler/Jenkins Camaro after it's racing career..wonder where it is now and wonder of the owner knows what they have..There was an article on this car as a street car in one of the mags back in the late 70's..

Dave, which car was it? Strickler's 69 car was a Z/28. Jenkins 69 car was an L78. I do not think they found Grumps 69 car yet. I would love to know where either 69 camaro went.

I know exactly where that camaro is parked... Its inside and isn't for sale. Owner has had it for a very long time. I don't think its been out of storage for 15 years or more.

Unless things have changed it still reads "old reliable" as it did in the first pic. To the best of my knowledge he knows what it was.

The car was featured in either one of the special Street Freak issues or a Camaro special issue that either Hot Rod or Car Craft put out..sometime very late 70's or early 80's..the article told how they obtained the car from Strickler.

Glad to see the car is still in the same form and not tubbed out or prostreeted.

I viewed the car in his shop in 1991 and it looks like the photo except for the wheelie bars were not on it. We had tow vehicle trouble by his home when a rocker stud broke on a Saturday afternoon and he drove by and inquired about the 69 Camaro 396/L78 M40 car on the trailer. When he found out about our problem he offered help and tools to remove the broken off press in stud. He had to go to go to his shop for tools and I rode with him and I was fortunate to be able to see the car. I do remember him talking about some Grumpy "changes" to the car.
