Probably safe to say that like Newman and Mcqueen,Garner enjoyed racing more than acting.

R.I.P. Jimmy.

From Maverick to Rockford I liked James Garner in most everything he did. Just watching Rockfish taught me all I needed to know about making forward and reverse 90 degree turns in the middle of the highway. I'm gonna miss him, but as I'm sure you know, Celluloid Heroes never really die.

Rest In Peace Jim - actually screw the peace, you and Yenko tear around in St. Peter's L88 Vette and raise some hell. Godspeed.

One of my favorite Rockford's..."Beamers Last Case" . The opening scene has the Firebird plowing thru a parking lot getting destroyed by Beamer. Jim comes home from vacation and see's his Bird all clapped out..Some great lines in this one, by one of the Best.

RIP. From L88 Corvette's to Baja SC/Rambler's to Hickey Olds and all the rest, he's left a lasting legacy on the collector car hobby.
