I would like to say that it was a privilege to be part of Steve Shauger’s team for the Vintage Certification judging at the MCACN. Everyone on the team had a positive attitude and a dedication to performing the most detailed judging criteria I’ve been exposed to in over 30 years. Steve himself was there until midnight Friday trying to finish all of the underside judging since the cars weren’t allowed to be started on Saturday or Sunday. (TWO lifts next year, Steve).
This program, in my opinion, will continue to grow because it is backed by the most qualified judges for each type of car entered. Unlike a Bloomington Survivor award, (non-Corvette) where judges are picked out of a crowd of warm willing bodies, an award given to a car in this program truly affirms something about the originality of the car. In that way, a car achieving an award through this venue will become invaluable as a reference book on wheels for future restorations.
Again, my hat’s off to Steve, his team and his program which is second to none in validating the originality of a variety of unrestored cars. And it's not only for musclecars.

Well said! I too was honoured to join the Vintage Cert team. It was a great experience not just to evaluate the Oldsmobiles but to view and learn about the other makes as well.
Working along Steve,Brent and his sons,Roger, Verne and Chris plus a few others that I cannot recall names. Chatting with the owners, who were so appreciative of the program.
Thanks Steve and Brent for establishing a fantastic program.

I just want to thank everyone who participated in our program. Every car had a story to tell and it was our pleasure to certify each and every car. Although our program is very intense it is very rewarding to both the owners and judges. I want to thank the judges for their tireless efforts, enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism.

This is an amazing show because of everyone who participates especially Bob and Vicki Ashton. I had a couple of late 12 am nights, but for Bob and Vicki every night is a 1 or 2am night, from the Tuesday before the show to the Monday after.

I've already received applications for 4 cars for next year, so if you're interested please go to the Vintage website at:
www.vintagecertification.com (http://www.vintagecertification.com) and learn more about our program and download an application.

As always what makes this hobby great is meeting new friends and reminiscing with old ones....

Wishing everyone a wonderful Holiday Season and a Merry Christmas.

Well thank you Rob. You have a spectacular car, but what was better was seeing you with your young son participating and enjoying the event.

As far as the article all I can say is wow the coverage is very much appreciated. The team we had at this event did an outstanding job, and the cars and owners were over the top. It kind of funny 15 + years ago Brett and I started discussing this concept and look how it has evolved and grown. What's also amazing is after 15 years it's still going and each event feels like the first. Our program has no egos, and we all do it for the passion we have for the cars and hobby. We have an exceptional team of judges that made this event the best we've had:
