that is so cool.

Love the painted roof. Is it an original red/white/white top car? Stunning

Always been a debate up here whether the Beaumonts were Ponchos or not?

It is a vinyl top. It is an original paint, top and interior car. My 68 SD is a lot like this one except for the paint color and this one is a 4 speed. My car is Cordovan Maroon, with parchment interior and vinyl top. Same gauge package.

I do not believe there is a debate any longer. There was never any mentioned of PONTIAC on there literature or cars! Therefore there is no reason for them to be considered a PONTIAC. ONLY reason that people associate them with PONTIAC as they were sold through the Canadian PONTIAC-BUICK arm of GM Canada, but was no reference to PMD on the cars or literature.

Interesting that these cars came with the engine compartment painted same color as body.

Agree, I would call a Beaumont a Pontiac even though the evidence proves they are????? A General Motors Beaumont?

I grew up w/ them and as much as they were referred to as Ponchos, I vote not Pontiac being they were never marketed or badged buy GM as such.
Titles bearing Poncho doesn't count as proof since those were created @ whim by Provincial licensing office ladies...later 1000 series Acadian Chevettes were indeed Pontiacs but a whole different thing.

I concede that they are not an official Pontiac.....

So what are they?
