This is my preservation project. It was parked by the second owner in Kansas in 1981 after it wiped 3 cam lobes. It has Y09 on the fender tag, designating an export car but many export Mopars never left the country; they were ordered from overseas by American servicemen in Viet Nam or related zones. It is a completely numbers matching car, auto. 8 3/4 rear 3.23s - a real top-ender for those long Kansas straightaways I bet. The dark blue B7 paint is not often seen on a '70 Cuda and paired with the Shaker is even rarer. It was painted, with a couple patches here and there but, essentially, is an "all there" original car, except for the 6bbl. carbs which were donated to keep a Challenger T/A running in the late 80s. I'm not going to restore the car, but rather get it running under its own power with some date-coded carbs.

Wayne, the previous owner, collected all kinds of NOS metal (most of which the car doesn't need) which came in the deal.

Thanks Bruce. We found the cam issue and the melted voltage regulator that side-lined the car in the 80s.

And, we also found the original exhaust, still in place after 45 years, mufflers, resonators and all

Critters got the top half of the broadcast sheet (which has the VIN <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif ) but the rest of the option codes tell me it is definitely for this car - found it behind the glove box.

That's not a home-made block heater. I put that same aftermarket system on my diesel. They've been offering it for decades now.

Nice car!

Really? What a Rube Goldberg contraption.

And, Charley, I will definitely be holding onto that tire!

Surprisingly enough they don't list "Cuda" as an application. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

Everything leaks, of course, so we gotta plumb it tight, but all the dirt will remain untouched:
