<span style="font-weight: bold">I never saw this car in person but it's owned by a great guy I haven't seen in years. He was able to purchase it in the last year or 2 from the original owner's wife.
He sorted it out to be on the road again but guess he decided to sell.
As the paperwork shows it was even bought within a mile or two of where it resided all it's life. Can't give anymore specifics but I'll see if I can contact him.

I'll be the first to plead ignorance on this, but does that look like the correct grain for the vinyl roof? Very <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/cool.gif car, regardless.

I just spoke to the owner as stated in the ad the car got a repaint in the 70's and a new vinyl top. I let him know about this site, he is a Mechanic and car guy his whole life also so anyone with interest just contact him.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Hey Guys,
A couple have PM'd me about this car to get the owner's #. Some have left me #'s that I will pass along.
I answered all PM's.
Just want to clarify I will help anyone that needs it but that wasn't my intent, I have nothing to gain or loose but helping an old friend and board members.
I'm just a bored guy at home after an operation last week!!!

What happened to the original trans?

Zedder

I spoke with the owner and made a strong offer on the car. It was a drag car since new and the tranny was swapped out to an M20 to get that gear ratio. The original tranny was lost over the years. The car was put away about 20 years ago after they lost their storage place. It spent a few years outside here and there and that is why the paint is rough and there is surface rust under the hood etc. The current owner got it back on the road a couple of years ago.

I also have an offer on another '67 L78, so I hope that one will be accepted <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

Thanks Bruce!

The owner seems like a genuinely nice guy. As for the clutch fan, the owner told me that Jerry wasn't able to confirm wether or not it was the original. I haven't seen pics of it to give an opinion.

Especially '67s that never had them from the factory.

Have never understood why GM built trunk-lids for spoiler installations, but didn't factory option them in 67.

I don't believe they start building trunk lids for spoilers til late 67. My March built has a spoiler that was added by previous owner and had no provisions for one. You can see where they cut the under side for access for the nuts to be installed.

My 67 was built on the last day of 67 production and has no provisions for a rear spoiler.

Mine was built last day also..the only 07C Z known I believe...I never paid much attention and always thought someone added the spoiler to my original lid...but now looking at it, mine has the provision for rear spoiler but now I assume it is a later lid???

My car is a few hundred from last VIN.. Hmmmmm <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

My 67 Camaro 06A built car has provisions for spoiler on the deck lid. I can't say its the original lid to the car. There is a good discussion on deck lids on the CRG site.
