This showcase is now complete. There will be a total of nine convertibles in this circle display, eight Stage 1, four speed converts , and one of the two cars built with a three speed manual trans. You can find this circle directly behind the hemi converts, so stop by and say hi. Mike

So...just stop and think about this for a minute;

EIGHT 1970 Stage 1, 4-speed Convertibles in one spot, and as if that isn't enough, a 3-speed drop top G.S. Stage 1 just to keep it interesting. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/burnout.gif

Thanks go out to sixtiesmuscle for making this one happen. You guys have no idea how many calls, e-mails and visits it took to create this gathering. Trust me, the Buick guys have clearly been the hardest nut to crack for the MCACN show, but this year we have more Buick's than ever and an incredible variety throughout the show.

Oh...and let's not forget, our Class of '70 display also has a Stage 1 automatic convertible and an awesome Apollo White GSX and several other G.S's.

And...we have 1971 and 1972 G.S. Stage 1, 4-speed convertibles in the show, along with several 1965 G.S. Rivvys.

And so much more...

Well, in fairness the "nuts' have the lowest production cars out there. And you got 8 of 67 4-speeds and 1 of 2 3 speeds produced. That's a large chunk of what's probably survived. Likely won't be seen together again. Oh and the '71 and '72 Stage vert 4-speeds are 1 of 9 and 1 of 15 produced respectively. Looking forward to an awesome show ! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

Well, as rare as they are, and indeed they are! they actually are not as rare as the 1970 and 1971 426 Hemi 'cuda and 426 Hemi Challenger R/T convertibles, and we have 26 of them joining us this year.

1970 Hemi 'cuda convertible; six 4-speeds and 12 automatics produced; we have ELEVEN joining us.
1970 Challenger R/T Hemi convertibles; seven 4-speeds and 5 automatics built; we have SIX joining us.
1971 Hemi 'cuda convertibles; Twelve built; four 4-speeds and 8 automatics; we have NINE joining us.

This is in no way disputing the rarity of the G.S. Stage 1 4-speed cars, just reinforcing the statement regarding how tough it has been for us to get the Buick owners to join us!

Hopefully with a display of this magnitude, along with the other prime Buick's that are joining us throughout the show this year, more Buick folks will consider joining us in the future, as we LOVE Buick muscle and really want to see more at the MCACN show.
