As i'm sure you all know in 1965 a Canadian Pontiac were all Chevy runnung gear. My car 283 PG slips so putting in a rebuilt PG and since I'd like a bit more go power I'm replacing the 283 with a built 355 / 350 Corvette engine. Anywho as we started tearing down I found these tie downs that go from the front of the exhaust manifolds to the upper control arms. I've never seen this before. Anyone have any information on these? I'll see if I can figure out how to send pics

It's a motor mount safety strap, I think these may've been a recall item back in the day?
When a pass side mount breaks under torque, the twist causes the left side of the engine to rise which stretches the throttle cable thus engaging further...usually to the max = full throttle! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif
Rims aren't my taste but love your Canadian Pontiac...please show us your midyear roadster!
