After seeing the rare breed post and the great weather in Utah, it inspired me to take my convert for a ride. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2016/11/full-13543-52696-l78_convert.jpg

I have been a member for 3 or 4 years been looking around on this site for years. I picked the car up this summer with the help from Charlie. Its a great car and I have been correcting a few of the fastner issues and need a few things such as a reverse lock out rod.

Guy,
IT was great to meet you this summer. I am glad you got this car, it couldn't have gone to a better home, when I saw the paper and the fact that it was good color L78 vert I figured Dave was going to corner the market and buy everyone he found... BTW according to the broadcast sheet your Blue L78 conv had redline tires.

Thanks James,
It was nice to meet you as well and hang out at Daves place. I also enjoyed the car show and getting to drive L C Cars home.I need to put red lines on the car.

That's a great L-78 convert. I owned it for a while about 15 years ago and it was a really nice driving car with the M-20. I've got an L-78 Pace Car now (also with M-20) and have always enjoyed 69 Camaro converts. It gets plenty of thumbs up even from non-car people.

M.20 3.55 is a killer driver combo - 3.55 gets you a nice rear gear if you get on the highway for a few minutes but the 2.52 first ratio yields a pretty steep effective first ratio.
A 3.55 M20 combo yields an effective 1st gear ratio of approx the same as a 3.90 rear with a M21-22.
Yes, same combo in my L-78 Pace Car and really makes the car very enjoyable to drive.

My turquoise '69 Z is a factory M20 3.55, a nice combo. I had a '69Z that was a factory M20 4.10, that car popped off the start!
