40 years gone
40 years ago I graduated high school in June.
I spent most at that summer on a houseboat on a lake front cottage of my best bud. At night seeking out Hot cars , races or cruising for chicks.
I thought I was dreaming, early this morning 40 years ago I heard a somber radio message of the death of Elvis Presley.....
2 hours later I actually awoke,
Mentioned to my buddy,,,
Wow, I had a weird ass dream that Elvis is dead.
That instant....the radio flashed breaking news as did the TV.
Elvis Presley dead at 42..........I was numb !

I was having my 12 year old Birthday Party.....just about to cut the cake. They announce on TV that the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley has died.....I threw the cake on the floor and told everyone to leave.....the worst day of my life.
