Greetings from Detroit, Heres my 78 Y88. I bought it when I was 19, still have. Ya, I should have bought something else but I didn't. Lol. only 47,000 miles, it's pretty corect still. I recently put the color vac lines on from Ames, and I met a guy locally that makes the correct freedom battery toppers, other than a repop headliner and package tray the interior is stock, I did find a nos camel pkg tray I'm going to swap out, a friend made me a correct set of spark plug wires that still needs to go on too. I like original and correct. One reason I joined this site.
One last part I need is a trunk mat. Still looking.

Awesome car! I'd like to see a pic of the battery topper, if you can.
I saw a few "NOS" trunk mats on ebay, FWIW.

I was happy to see these toppers, I tried making a set of caps a few back, but these are nice. Missing detail. I'm thinking of sending my hood latch to Norwood, I'm not sure if you know Craig here but he restores these. I also need a "TC" emissions label, Osborne doesn't do it. I found a pic, so I'll try my hand at doing a few. I found a nOS set of t top bags if you can imagine, nice CL find.

Howdy Burd. Nice to see you over here. (We've talked a bit in the past about the batteries. I found this a while back - it's a Delco Freedom II display model with no internals).

I'm still looking for that Holy Grail, one-year-only C89 prehistoric, maint-free battery that my SD455 came with, in case you ever run across one. It's the little photo at the end. This is the only known picture I have found of one.
