I went looking for pictures, and have not found any, not yet anyway. Sorry. But check out this old article about the car which I did find, it tells some history. Click on the links to see the pages of the story.

The Dennis Farrara metioned in that article must be the same Dennis Farrara that ran the 1970 Camaro sponsored by Motion Performance in the early 70's.
I have read that the 1969 Camaro Grumpy's Toy was an original 375 hp car and is still around but not for sale.

found a funny story on Da Grump with a small pic of the 1970 Camaro

Some Trivia on the 70 car: Grump "leased" the car to Bruce Larson for a while so it was ran as the "USA-1" car. There was a falling out so Grump took it back. Later the car was sold to Richie Zul. Was the fastest big block chevy Pro Stocker in the country for a while.
Richie "rebodied" the car as a '74 at some time. I met Grumpy at the Supercar Showdown in Columbus several years ago. He said someone does have the car and no it is not for sale. The car was originally acid dipped and has sat outside for many many many years. He said the body was totally shot. If I'm not mistaken he said the guy stripped the paint and never got around to painting it.It has sat outside since.

Hi Kim,
Andrew here. I saw a 70 Camaro "small" rear spoiler for sale at a show. It had "Ammon R. Smith Auto Car Company York Pa" hand painted on the back of it. Does "Mr. Green" want more info on it? It came off of Bill's or Dave's car. And I have video of that car at Maple Grove new! Not for sale but I would be happy to share.

Andrew,I too have seen the spoiler in question an believe it is off the Strickler car. If memeroy serves it carried a healthy price an needed some repair to the stud mounts.

Steve,
You are correct. Did you go to "York" last fall?

Have you checked out Dave Strickler's "Old Reliable" 1968 Camaro Z-28 at www.z28camaro.com ? Jerry offers some very cool component restoration services, books (The 1967-68 Z-28 Fact Book, The 1969 Camaro Fact Book Z-28,Z-L1,L-72,COPO etc.) Certification services too. Very cool, if you have anytime I would recommend it.

I've seen the car a few times in person, but never at the web site.It is a very nice "as raced" restoration.I do have a few photos of this car recently, but only one old action shot with Dave S. driving.
