Anyone out there that knows of having this done to glass in their car, please respond. I would like to save my original windsheild and was told this was an option. I have small knicks and scratches. Can the glass stay in the car? When is a scratch to deep? Can it be filled? HELP!!!!

Be very very careful at trying to polish with the Eastwood kit....It won't work on anything deep and you must be SURE to not get the glass too hot as you will either de-laminate it and put a nice air pocket in it or break it. You need to go slow and take breaks to let it cool. And it is a real mess...tape off everything within 5 ft. !!

Eastwood sells a glass polishing kit/compound. If you can draw your fingernail across the area without catching it, they claim you'll be able to polish it out. Their website is at http://www.eastwoodcompany.com
