Rare Chevelle

Hey guys, check out this link! There doesn't appear to be an actual direct link to this car, but after clicking on this link, roll down to the white 70 Chevelle SS L-78 Convertible 4-speed. I may be a Pontiac guy, but I thought prices like these were reserved for Yenko Chevelles and Camaros? I've seen ZL-1's go cheaper than this!

This place also has a 9,000 mile original 70 LS6 Chevelle 4-speed for $50,000+.

I'm either getting too old, or I'm stuck in the early 80's when these cars were all original for around $6000. http://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/laugh.gif

Mike, are these things really that rare? I realize it's a ragtop, but I would think an original 70 LS6 4-speed car would fetch more than this 396 Chevelle.

Geez, $78,000 seems a "little" high to me, but maybe a 1 of 6 may be worth it.

There were less 1970 L78 Chevelles made then there were LS6 Chevelles. I don't know where these people get production numbers for how many LS6 or L78 convertibles were built. As far as I know, there were no records kept that can tell you how many LS6 convertibles were sold in USA.

There are no exact production numbers for the convertible.Only guesstimates.
I've seen this White L-78 convertible.Once at NIAB,then Volo,then Midwest Car exchange.Now back at Volo.
Seems these guys all move inventory around for eachother like musical chairs.By the way this car is made by that gang in Oklahoma...RUN!
