That car is awesome! And I'm partial to the Rally Green too because my first 69 Camaro was Rally Green. The thought of a 427 in a Nova makes me smile especially compared to the thought of my grandparents in their 6 cyl Nova.

Nice car Kevin! How many 69 Yenko Novas are known today? I can think of only 4.

Same color too.

I have part of one,an Engine. It was to have been pulled out of a Yenko Nova Same color combo as the feature Car, but orig. from Illinois.
A few list members know the Guy who pulled it 20 years ago or so. It sat in his Parents basement till last year. http://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
It seems that the racers were upgrading to 454s soon after they were available.

thanks guys, the response has been great! thats the reason it is near and dear to my heart! i just like something different! i have had to hold some strong runs at the car, its tempting, but, i just have to say no. there are beleived to be about 8-10 in existence today, the most common number i hear is 7. see you all at the supercar reunion. happy muscle car motoring, go 69 sYc nova!

Very nice car. I saw it when Randy Miller owned at at a car show at North Wilksboro Nascar track in the early 1990's. He had a Yenko Camaro there to. I'm sure its just as nice, looks it anyway. Just my $.

Stefano, what happened to the body of the car who's engine you have?

copo pete,
i would have to agree with you , but, of course i am a little biased. i've got to think theres no end to this car, and for that matter the other 6-9 as well.

AutoInsane,
It was raced for a while with the 454 and then it seems to have disappeared. There was however a Yenko Nova fitting the description roaming the area.
Several people have told me they thought the Nova Ended up with Gary Dyer. I don't know him so I haven't had the chance to ask.
I currently have no way to link the engine to a car other than the story, but so far everthing has checked out OK.

I could've bought Gary Dyers Nova for $14,000 when it was unrestored a few years ago. I already had a 69 sYc Nova, so I gave Dyers number to Gary Holub who now owns the car. Man, for all the great cars I passed on over the years. If I was in this hobby for the money, I would've bought all the project cars I came across, and stored them in a wharehouse. But it's just a hobby.

Well, off the top of my head, there is our Le Mans blue car, the Fathom Green car that went to Canada, and Reggie's Rally Green Nova (http://www.reggiescars.com/photos/musclecar-17.jpg). Where did Cliff's Fathom Green Nova (http://edge.net/~mearnold/tnpont/images/cliff/Nova.jpg) end up? Brian, help us out here...:)

I've a friend who recalls an Orange Yenko Nova located in Northern Ill. in the Mid-'70's. Car belonged to the son of a car lot owner. Have no clue as to its current whereabouts. Spur any memories?

Does anyone know about Rob Richardson's Lemans Blue, Black vinyl top and interior, M21, BE rear, SW tac, Yenko Nova which was sold off Yenko's showroom floor with no stripes and a tri-power.

I was told it was one of the Novas found/title traced by Vince Emme.

Yes, as far as we know, Rob Richardson still has the Le mans blue car. As far as we know, not for sale, and currently running a small block.

Does Cliff still have his Fathom green car? I want to say that we heard something about him restoring a Rally Green car?

sYc

We here at the sYc know of 8, including Rob Richardson's. Our Nova is Lemans blue, no vinyl top car, of course 427, 4 speed. Has the usual SS markings, hood, rear panel etc. Currently under going restoration (slow). It was sold new at Van Chevrolet, in Kansas City and seems to have remained in that area its whole life. Rumor is, may be the first one built. One of the interesting notes are the front side marker lamps. Unlike the others that I have seen that have a small marker lamp and a seperate 427 emblem in place of the original 396 marker, ours has the 396 marker replaced with a like 427 marker, we assume from a full size 427 car. Documentation includes a NICB report, verifing it as a Yenko.

thats interesting, 2 lemans blue, 2 fathom green, 2 rallye green, 2 garnet red and probably 2 more of another color we don't know about! thanks for the info rob!

Kevin or ( mc25t190 ) just wanted to let you know the original owner of your car or kinda was in my office the other day alive and well, guess who ? He is going to come by in a week or two and swap some more stories about muscle cars.Anything you want me to ask him.

mc25t190

V,V, Cook Jr is who im speaking of. I just spent some time with him this morning and asked some questions about your car and the other Yenko cars they sold.He said your Nova was the only one they sold in 69 but did sell several small block cars. One of the very cool things was he said they sold 20+ Corvair`s and 25 or so Camaro`s.he also thought they had sold some Camaro`s prior to 69 but would try to rewind his tape he told me and let me know.
I thought it was ironic that your car was the feature car and then I see him.He is related to the Dealer here and we tend to cross paths several times of the year.He did tell me that if he knew that the car was going to be so rare he would have held out for a bigger profit the first time around ( ha ).

thanks again, the puzzle comes together. i do know mitch moore owned the car at one time. i bet old vv cooke could have held a gross profit record on a new car sale if he had held on to the yenkos!
