WOW...It sold already with "Buy it now". Supersport, were you the Buyer or Seller ?

Probably both...

Great car, but the window sticker is a reprint. The Brake Master Cylinder doesn't
look like the original "US" code either. I wonder if the original sticker is to be had, as a reprint doesn't mean original doc's to me. My 2 cents

How can you tell it's a reprint, aside from the nice condition of the window sticker?

There is one really interesting thing about the bidding. The "Buy It Now" bid came in at the very last second of the auction.

Agree with JBB,window sticker is to crisp to be an original.KP

What I'm looking for......but I want a 69 L-78 probably one or two steps down....in a VERY nice driver.......having said that...would those exhaust manifolds probably be from L-34 car as the smog system was removed (??).....Thanks, Chuck/Seattle

I have never seen a documented 69 Big Block without smog, any hp. Except a Canadian Smog Delete car ?

I think the car has the rare 4 wheel drive option, much rarer than the JL8 he sold. The window sticker is a reprint. Every original 69 BBCamaro I have owned or seen.. whether auto or 4spd had smog.

Not only is the sticker too crisp, the printing is different than the originals.
Ken, if you get the chance send some pic's
of the 12,000 mile L-78 you have.......Joel

Another 2 cents.....The sticker is missing
the six digit code under the Chevrolet Motor Division (middle top of the sticker) that is a number that is also on the top of the cowl tag. I don't see RPO 5JL8LJ, so that x's out a 4-wheel disc car. But we weren't there when the car was built, so the master cyl. could have found its way into the engine bay by shortage
or whatever. That brings a question to mind:
Any SS's or COPO's with the JL-8 brakes?

A car of this Caliber really does need a "Caution Fan" sticker on the fan shroud for that perfect finishing touch.

JBB, please explain what sticker you are talking about. Is that the window sticker?

I had asked about the Vinyl top missing prior to the car being sold and when I saw it as sold with Buy It Now I ask him if it was staying in the Chicago area since I thought I might know the Orginal owner and he stated it was headed out west into a musuem

I'll never understand why people with $40,000+ Camaros can't spring for the $100 stripe stencil kit.

Hi 69L89. Yes the window sticker. The number that is missing at the top of the window sticker is the body identification number, which appears on the trim plate in the upper right corner- ST 12437NORXXXXXXBDY
the X's being the number in question that is missing.......Send a pic of that "842" headed
monster!............Joel

Does anyone know why it sits up so high?

Steve Shauger

That is why it is going to a museum.
