great car, are those the correct wheels ?

02-24-2001, 01:19 PM
No they are not, however I do have the correct date-coded rims to go with the car. This was the car used for the "muscle-car cards". I also have 2 magazines that this car was featured in, and I believe there are more.

NWYENKO,

Does your last post mean you purchased the Blue Deuce?

Yep! The blue Deuce will be making its way to the NW hopefully next week. As I said, the red Deuce is now on the block for sale. I don't have the ability as does Charley to have a couple of everything!!

Here are some old pics of the blue Yenko Nova that Jim just bought. Note the sport mirrors option, a whopping $20 option that was dealer installed.

M:

When did those "sprt mirrors" become available? Were they possible in '69? Are they a remote mirror?

The sport mirrors seemed to have appeared in '70 only. We believe they are actually non-painted, non-chromed Hurst/Olds mirrors, not Talbot Inc. editions. This is another link between Hurst and Yenko, especially on the '70 cars. These mirrors are not remote, in fact they can bothersome becasue they supposedly vibrate due to the engine, and it is difficult to open the wing windows. There is evidence that not all cars with this option actually received both mirrors!
