i am looking for a driver with some modern day amenities. i am considering building or buying a streetable car. all my cars are beautiful to look at, but, scared to take them on the street. i recently saw a black 427 zl1 clone in one of the magazines and must have misplaced, but something of that nature with a/c. does anyone know of the magazine this particular car was in, it had a lot of eye appeal. anyone that knows of a 69 driver in excellent streetable condition, doesn't have to be a 427 but would prefer please advise. this will only be a toy for which i can have some fun with. would prefer a camaro, but would consider other bowties, it can have some modifications to suspension, wheels and tires, and even interior updates, as long as the motor doesn't stick out of the hood. as you can see i am wide open and looking for ideas. thanks!

How about C-Bob's NOM 427 4-spd '69 RS/SS rag that pops up on eBay from time-to-time.

"Nicely detailed" as Charley would say, but also very nicely equipped.

Kevin,
Check out the Red/Black RS SS 1967 Camaro that I have on eBay, item 1814474108 You can change the hood and go Yenko or Nickey look alike. The Camaro is well equiped with Air Cond. Pwr windows, tac gauges, 4speed/12 bolt 3.31 posi Manual disk brakes. Its a frame off Driver.
If you want a 427 in it, no problem just let me know.

<LI>My everyday driver 69 SSRS: http://www.shutterfly.com/my/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b31d7d62c45d

I hope I pasted this correctly. I was hoping that someone might have a convertible to trade up or down for.

Kevin,

Charley L. had a super clean Daytona Yellow ZL-1 clone with AC. I know he sold it, but worth tracking down. It looked to be a great cruiser with A/c and a ZL-1 engine for the wow factor.

It's a fake, but it's beautiful.

I didn't think I liked white interior, but it sure does look sharp with that blue and white stripes!

Good luck with that convertible. What a car! But I'm biased since I also have a '69 convertible. An overdrive would make it perfect.

we'll see guys just one more day thanks for the input. i am glad to know the guy is reputable. the car is highly optioned with a 427 and a/c. i plan on doing a few minor suspension changes to modernize the suspension, not lower. its exactly what i was looking for and it included a droptop!

Hey Kevin,

If you score that rag for $38.6KUS, you will have done extremely well. One more day will tell. I have "had lust in my heart," as Jimmy Carter would say, for that car every time it has come up on eBay (note the Georgia theme here...).
I have bought parts from C-Bob, and everything has been high quality. My car buddies here in SoCal have had similar positive experiences with him. Great stuff.

Georgia on (your) mind... good luck...

OH, KEVIN,

You must not have seen C-Bob's previous auctions on that car! I was considering offering him a body part (well a digit, at least) after reviewing the detail resto that thing received...

paul1969, I have cash instead of a trade. How much would you want for your car?
