Just seen this add in Hemmings: CHEVELLE: 1969 Yenko, rare L-88 alum heads, 7,000 orig. miles, 1 owner, $150,000. PH: 606-587-3336 was'nt this car advertised on e-bay at one time and was pulled of due to some problems with verification?

This car comes up for sale every few years. I have talked to him a few times over the years but he would not give me any numbers.

I had this mistaken with that Lemans Blue one that was on e-bay! I wonder what kind of documentation he has on the aluminum heads and what numbers are stamped on block? Sure would be an interesting car to look at!

It does sound identical to the lemans blue car except for color. The lemans blue car is located in NJ. This car is located in Kentucky, going by the area code.

I was commenting on the blue one from NJ.

Boy, that's odd http://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/crazy.gif...the area code is for a Kentucky phone number, but the ad lists the car as being in "NJ".

Brian, did you go to Kentucky or New Jersey to see this car?!

I was at a show in Springfield OH. It was a fathom green car with low miles and an L/88. I will have to get out the video and refresh my memory. The car was in Canada at that time. It had about 7 or 8 thousand miles. It had been restored. The year was about 1993/4..BKH

So, am I to assume this is NOT the car in NJ that everyone has tried to get info about? Kind of funny...that guy told me HIS car was THE ONLY true Yenko, as it was from Canonsburg and was a race car! Said all the others were "clones"...interesting theory, huh? http://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
