Charlie,
That sounds like it is 1/2 of the "Hurst-Hairy-Olds".

Charlie,
I hope that I am not going to go to far off of the topic of the "Stinger", but, here is a interesting bit of info. Check out http://www.mysterion.net/funnys/funny_10.html
Check out the 3rd and 4th photos on the page they are the Hurst car and a twin engine toronado.

Charlie
I think I remember your "car" in a magazine at one time. Did it ever have a wood stakebed on the back? The car I'm thinking was featured in a magazine called "Steet Freaks" I'm not kidding!!

I don't think it ever had a stake bed. It was on the cover of Hot VW a few years back. Built by a guy named Chuck Calloway, famous VW builder. Hey, a Calloway !!! I know, "Who Cares............"

I've bought a hi-dollar car from EBAY. I think the 69 Yenko Camaro came w/in $3,000 of an $80,000 reserve. Perhaps worth a try?
