Replacing rear axle control arm bushings without removing entire housing if possible. Does someone make a tool to press out/in bushings located on top of housing ? I sure the heck hope so but never changed them on this type of axle......I really don't want to pull the whole thing out.Getting to old for that stuff !

You had to Edit your message twice in order to get that one statement out ? Mickey, don't be telling him about the air chisel. I want him under that Tuna Boat with a BFH and a Chisel.

Charlie must have named it and that is why it isn't called a teeth brush.
If you have access to a machine shop, it is pretty easy to make a tool to press the bushings out and back into the rearend housing. Poly urethane eliminated all our wheel hop and really tightened up the Chevelle rearend. Works wonders on the front as well.

Finished it up a couple nights ago.Huge difference.Pain in the a** but well worth it.Stuck with the original GM rubber.Rides like a pimpmobile now too !
