There was a Yenko just like this at a local cruise in Crystal Lake, Illinois, just a few months ago, but I remember that car as having Air Conditioning.

Has my memory failed me again or was the A/C added later in life /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

It is a very unique/outstanding color combination, cool Yenko.

Actually, I think this car came with the AC from Yenko /ubbthreads/images/icons/shocked.gif I believe it is the only YSC with AC.

That black vinyl top does it for me, is it original? Didn't think they were ordered that way. If it is original how many first gen Yenkos came with a vinyl roof, anybody have a definitive number on this?

Do we know what YS-0## it is? Nice little history of the car, love that color!

Why would there not be any vinyl top '68 Yenko Camaros??

I believe it's 8036, but I don't have the info in front of me.

Rob, 8036 is Chuck Huber's old car that Cliff now owns. There is another 68 a/c car out there, 8026 and is in the hands of a guy on the board. I will attach a picture later that was taken a year ago when it was in storage here in the south. I can email it to you if you can change the image size for me as I have temporarily uninstalled my Photoshop....................RatPack.............. .........

Yep, you're right! I had been discussing 8036 earlier in the day...guess I still had it on my mind. Anyway, the magic number is...

8037

The car Ratpack is refering to was sold at a dealer in the Tampa Florida area. It has dealer installed a/c.Tim Newman once owned the car and has the document's on the a/c installation.

Anybody know if this car was built with a 140 mph speedo?
A SuperCar with a AC would be great especially with the 90 + deg days we have been getting here. Nice car!

Joe, when I looked at the 8026 car last year it had the 140 mph speedo.

Rob, how about posting the picture I sent you.......................RatPack................. ....

Copolocator, was the dealership here in Tampa that sold the Yenko Ferman Chevrolet. I saw there name advertised as a Yenko dealer but got the impression from this board that they never sold any. I've talked to a few locals who said they saw at least one in the showroom, I was given a phone number of a salesman who was supposed to have sold one. Wes

Yeah, I meant to post it last night, as I recieved it at the house, but after a late night at the shop, the instant I made it home I hit the sack. I then left for work without checking my mail...I'll post it at lunch, which is about 40 minutes away. Sit tight!

Check your private message board for the last known number of the previous owner. If you find any info please post.

It's my understanding that a LOT of the '68s went to Florida...why, I don't know.

Anyway, check the attachment for the picture!

Rob if I'm not mistaken I think I was told along time ago that the factory a/c car was a promo car that they used to tour the southern dealers with or was that another car?I think it was a bronze car?Could have already been posted on this sight before. But I would like to know to refresh my memory.

Chevy454

Not sure about the tour thing, but the feature car is a Bronze car!
