Anybody that might not know Ray Dupont's copo is for sale.Black/black just won Super Chevy Top 10 drag car award.Doesn't have original drive train but does have 512 4 bolt block.Paint is exceptional and car has been doc'd by Ed.Price is in the $50's or without drivetrain in the $30's.Don't hold me to it.You can call Ray at 919-304-6903.

Rob Super Chevy gives away a trophy for ten different catagories, such as best paint ,engine, original ,drag car etc.The car now has an aluminum head 427.I think the car runs 10's. It has some upgraded electrical components which can easily be removed.NO body mods that I can remember.Won't take much to give it that out of the seventies drag carlook.Hope it helps. It's a good buy for the price. Better buy if you have a drive train.

The car still has the original curved neck radiator. The front brakes have been changed to drum, but he still has the original disc brakes. The dash still sports the original radio block off plate as no radio was ordered. I have attached a picture of the car taken last fall.................RatPack......................

* the other engine block he has is a correct 512 block dated D219 and the pad is stamped T023MN. He did not say whether there is a vin stamped into the block anywhere.

Thanks to this site I was able to(after all these years of not knowing where to look)find the vin.# on the block, and it's the original block for my COPO.By the way I have a fresh 427 in the car.12.5 comp.open chamber steel head.3/8rod,roller cam, tunnelram.has run [email protected] in 1/8 mile on street tires w/mufflers spinning all the way thru 1st gear. The car looks and sounds like an old superstocker. Also brought the car to the Eastern Camaro Nats. in Mooresville N.C.and took second place in the custom trailered class and scored 920 points out of 1000 good enough for a silver certificate.. Great that you were able to find the VIN.
What's the engine code? T023MN is missing a digit.

Thanks!
Kurt

How could a block cast April 21, 1969 be final assembled February 23, 1969?

William,Rat pack was mistaken,There is a blank space or a stamp so light you can't make it out between the TO and the 23.Like I said earlier in this post the matching Vin# for my COPO is stamped on the block...Ray
