That's Randy's car all right!!! You should see that thing lift the wheels on BFG Drag Radials. Mind bending indeed!!!!!

Pull the wheels! I heard through the grapevine that thing was hooking a little too well on it's last trip to Michigan, but I had no idea! What did he end up running with that thing in the NMCA/NSCA...low 12s?

I watched him go 11.89 late at night, and I believe he lifted his foot at the end. Impressive car!!!

I don't know if any of you saw the car run last year after he moved up a class and had a lot more power, but it was impressive, he brought it to our local 1/8 mile dragstrip for a test and tune session, and all I can say is WOW! He left the line, pulled the front wheels, it spun, he backed out and get back in it and still ran like 115 MPH in the 1/8, can't remember his ET, looked like a Pro Stock car doing a burnout, what a show!

I understand that the pure stock crew 'suggested' that he bring one of his other musclecars after the orange Yenko session. The rear of the car was sky high when he backed it off the trailer, but was squating low when he brought it to the line. The front end then shot up in the air when he launched, and never came back down until he lifted at the big end! We knew we were up against some S/A cars that year /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Pete:

Do you remember what mph he ran? Could the car pass "SA" tech?

Actually that thing never did better than a 110 I believe. It was set up for the drag radials to 60 foot like crazy. Eight inches under the front tires was not un common.(I have pictures to it back up). It would high 1.5's to low 1.6 on the stickies. You could never catch him! However...... put on the poly's and it was a new game. I could usually handle him in that case. Marlin has some good footage of us racing in that mode. That was a lot of fun. Maybe I should bug him to come out and play..................... /ubbthreads/images/icons/smirk.gif There are a few that I enjoy beating in a race, but Randy is not one of them. We have a lot of fun when we get together!!!
