Thanks for the dealer info..
Any idea how many COPO's made it to the east coast of Canada? Having lived in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for many years.. I have always wondered.

Hugger;
You would probably have a better chance of finding some Motion vettes that went up there vs. COPO cars.

a 44 Shelby, quelque Mustang Boss 302/351/429.

J'ai m’me dªj· vue une Firebird Commanche 1969 Convertible.

/ubbthreads/images/icons/cool.gif

Translated:

I don't know about New Brunswick or Nova Scotia but I've seen some for sale in Old Car Traders from those two provinces. I really should try to find those old issues one of these days. In Quebec and Ontario, we're spoiled.

In our Quebec Mustang/Shelby registry, we're at 44 Shelbys and a few Mustang Boss 302/351/429. (As a side note, 2 of the Shelby KR Convertibles that I've personally known about are registered as Fastback (02) in the SAAC).

Insofar as Quebec Mopars are concerned, several very rare Mopars were sold in Quebec. For example:
- 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T Convertible
- 1970 Coronet R/T 440 Six-Pak convertible
- 1970 Coronet R/T hemi Convertible (this one I don't recall if it was in Ontario or Quebec, but it was ONE of ONE before others were found now they're at 3 or 4 cars??).
- ... and lots of other street and race Hemis.
- ... and Six-Paks
- ... some 340's and 440's, and a Labatt Blue Six-Pak.

Production estimates vary like the stock market. Shelby KR convertible production went recently from 318 to 518, oops make that 517, and it's slowly coming back down to 318.

Not to forget GM in Quebec:
- Many LS6 Chevelles
- At least one LS6 Convertible

In my personal registry, I know of at least 20 COPO Camaros in Quebec only, at least one COPO Chevelle (bought in Ontario but by a nice Quebec fellow /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif, Judges, W30/31's, several Beaumont SD396's, and I even once saw Firebird Comanche 1969 Convertible.

Peter (COPO Pete) can probably speak better from the Ontario point of view.

As to this discussion forum, I'm starting to think that it's going downhill so I'm just going to check in once in a while as need be.

Thanks and Best Regards

Hugger

Thanks guys.. getting a little rusty on my French by the look of things.

It is pretty depressing out east for rare muscle cars..

There are a few LS6's that I know of, and the odd Big Block Pace Car and a few L78's. I am sure at least a COPO car or two must have made it out there somehow. I have never heard of any personally though. I'll have to check on that when I am back there for Christmas. A friend of mine does have a low mile Boss 429 though.

I am sure there are many Hemi cars there in the Quebec region as Ray Barton was in the Montreal vicinity for quite a while.

Peter, how are things going up "North"?

Craig.
