Mike, Are there any published documents showing VIN # info on the 1969 Berger cast iron 427 COPO's? Does Berger Chevrolet have any original paperwork there willing to share on these cars. Thanks

As far as I know there is no list of VIN's or Berger paperwork to exist. The only way to document one is with factory documents/original Berger invoice, and/or original owner history.

Thank you for the quick response supercar! I appreciate your comments. Anyone else want to comment on this topic or know if any Berger supercar paperwork is available. I know a guy that lived around the block from Berger Chevrolet in 1969 and he said he remembered seeing the ZL1's and the COPO cars in the showroom. He was a motor head and going to school to become a mechanic. Well in 1971 he got a job at Berger Chevrolet and he worked there for awhile back in the shop. He told me about a guy JC who prepped all the supercars for pre-delivery. Somehow a few years ago I got in touch with the head prep man JC thru a Chevy vette fest contact. He prepped all the supercars himself before they were delivered. When he was finished he would sign his initials JC to the inside of the hood near the front latch. I was hoping to re-locate this person to see if he had any parer work. Thanks

Dennis Barker cruises around this site, and he happens to work for Berger Chevrolet, and I believe he has stated Berger does not have any paperwork pertaining to the older cars.

I am sorry but Berger Chevrolet does not have any paperwork on the past history of cars. Mr. Berger's favorite saying is "Hell if I would have known what the damn cars were going to be worth, I wouldn't have kept the paperwork, I would have kept the cars !!!! It is too bad but that is the way it is. Thank you for being interested in such a neat part of history !

Dennis, I bought my Pearl White Supercharged Riviera off Bergers used lot last summer, it says "By Berger" on the trunk deck, do I get a T-Shirt too? X-Large will do.
Thanks Dennis,

I guess so Dennis, you probably were't kidding when you said you might only have one left, and that I would have to grovel for it.
