Part of what he says is correct. He did in fact contact Joel. But, Joel did not give "his blessing", instead Joel told him that he could paint/stripe the car any way he wanted, as could anyone, even to the point of duplicating a Motion scheme, because paint schemes are not registered. As per this being the reason Joel may get back into the supercar business, this car had nothing to do with it. A very well known member of the sYc is the one reponsible for Joel's interest in once again produing supercars.
Can you tell us who that well known member is?
Like to buy him a beer....

The part about not building a car for 15 years is about right. The last Motion car Joel built that I know of was the 89 Motion Mustang GT Convertiable. It was used to showcase the Motion fiberglass parts and as daily driver for Ms Motion.
