OK OK The reason I would like a delete plate is for my 70 camaro. Which did come with a radio, in order to lose weight I thought I would replace it with a delete plate. That's why I don't want to pay too much for one. If the car had came with one I would step-up to the plate and buy one for whatever cost. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Kim
I contacted the seller. He sold it.
Way out of most of ours price range.
Know I know why I didn't pursue it.
Triple the price you were willing to pay. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
Have you considered making one out of a black plastic VCR tape box?

As they say, time is money... Although i don't know if thats what they meant originally... If you REALLY want to go fast, take out the radio and leave the hole in the dash....less wind resistance. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Heck...a fella could get similar performance gains by skipping breakfast on race day, and that'll be free too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Howie won't skip breakfast on race-day but he might forego breakfast in lieu of a LITE BEER! (or two, three, four.........) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

you know kim.. I'll bet a piece of cardboard painted black and 2 strips of velcro weighs less than a factory delete plate with numbers attached.. And pricewise??? Can't beat it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Speaking of radio deletes, take a look at this one...
69 Radio Delete Plate (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2436876699&category=34 206)
I have seen many of these, and every original 69 one I have ever owned or looked at was molded in black plastic. The 67/68 plates I've seen have been molded in off-white plastic, but not the 69s. Is this a very early 69 piece? Maybe a part from a VN built car, or a later over the counter version? Just seemed odd to me that it is white on the back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
