Can anyone help me find one of these Turbo 400's. I use to own a 1969 L-89 Corvette with one of these automatics in it from the factory and it worked great. I know in the 69 Corvette the code on the data tag on the trans was "Y" but I don't know if the same code was used when installed in Camaros, Chevelles etc. The other way to identify one of these was that the torque converter had six mounting bolts. Can anyone help me locate one of these---I'd certainly prefer NOS but I'll consider anything.
Thanks,
Kevin C.

Yes,the CY Suffix Trans.(Hi-Shift Point) was used in 1969 on Hi-Horse 396,427 Chevelles,Corvettes,Nova,Camaros.
In 1970-71,Chevelles & Corvettes,with the LS6 option.
I did meet a guy at Jefferson Swapmeet in September who told me he had a 1969 CY in his Garage.
I don't know him from Adam, but I will inquire for you if you like?

Yes, I would very much appreciate if you would inquire further about the "CY" tranny. Like this fellow you spoke with at Jefferson, I'm sure there are some of these transmissions sitting around in people's garages and under work benches. Thanks a lot.
