Carl, Hi, after we bought our SS Silverado we then found a dealer in Columbus, Ohio that was selling left-over HUMMERS for $44,000---my wife could have Killed me, she really wants one!! Supposedly they are coming out with a HUMMER Pick-Up Truck. This was in October 2003. I can find out the Dealer's name as my son lives in the Columbus area.

Carl,

The left overs that Mark is speaking of were hail repaired. They actually went as low as 39K. They Really sold out fast.

There is a dealer 7 miles from me that sells H2's now. He deals. Send me a PM. I will get you a price.

Mark,

The two that sold for 39K were a good deal for an autobody specialist, Salesman stated that the insurance company had paid well on both, as I recall both were dented all over.

We just shipped out about 6 to the DRMO for resale to the General public. True tried and tested ones that still have the smell of gunpowder and paint shows signs of light sandblasting from the Iraq desert.

Didn't think you could buy Surplus Hummers. AMG has some kind of a deal to prevent that. Most get cut in half and you can buy non matching halves.

If you can get the surplus, how about shipping a couple to Mass. No need to remove the .50's in the turret, I could use those on the Mass Pike every morning.

Mark, Guess my local DRMO guy didnt relize they were not DOT spec'd, I stand corrected about how they are sold . Following is from the DRMO site :
Humvee/HMMWV

The military version of the Humvee does not meet DoT commercial safety standards and is sold for recovery of parts and scrap.

Now my next questiono is I see them here in Hawaii and on the mainland all the time on the roads in Convoys, so if they dont meet DOT requirements, whose at fault when someone it killed in a accident on a public roadway???

I'll be more than happy to scrap one. Ship it to me in Mass and "I promise" I'll scrap it. I'd like one of the Kammback 4Dr models.
