hey guys
well i finally got my 69 running. broke it in for 20 minutes and loaded it up on the trailer. took it to test and tune and got to make one pass. twisted the alternator belt up. the pulleys look straight but i was running the repop cloth style belts. dogged it out of the hole. its an all new car and who knows what could happen . 1.98 60' time.
hit second gear and the car instantly jumped to the right so i had to let off. the rest went ok. 12.005 @ 118.5.
36 degrees timing stock 4346 jetting. no jet extentions.
i can see low 11's. I hope. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif super chevy is in bradenton fla here next week. what do you guys use for an overflow? i want the stock look. pete? also battery holddowns? is the stock one ok? i cant wait for super chevy!
why dont you guys come on down where its in the low to mid 70's in the day! great car weekend!
thanks ! steve keech sarasota florida

I have run a hose from the overflow across to the windshield washer bottle.

Stock (original) battery hold-downs should be NHRA-legal.

...sounds like a great running car!
