I would love to have your 66 Chevelle, but the show is full. Right now, I have one guy waiting for a spot and you could be the next. If anyone drops out of the show I will contact a replacement. This show has become the "Show" on the east coast. They do an excellent job with it and the Supercar Registry is proud to be a small part of it...BKH http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Mike,

You should come over to the show anyway. There'll be a good number of site members there and it's only 90 mins from Valley Forge.

16 registered cars and one memrobilia display for the show and theres no more room ...It's the "SHOW" of the east coast ...don't mean to stir up any sludge but can you shed a little light on that ..I may have missed something here so don't take offense I'm a little thick headed at times

The display organized by bkhpah is NOT the entire show, as it is actually comprised of 100's of cars, vendors, and displays. The good folks who run the event provide the Yenko Sportscar Club with enough space for approximately 15 cars. bkhpah volunteers to take the time to organize all of the entries on a 1st come,1st served basis, and it fills quickly, as it IS truly "THE" show of the East Coast, with more 60's and 70's drag racing legends and personalities than you will ever see in the same building anywhere else. If you've never attended, you really should come see what its all about, and get your entry in early for next year.

Do you guys know if there will be any Automagazine writers there covering this show?
As well as reading about the outcome on this site,I would like to look for any articles about it afterwards.
Thanks. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I'm pretty certain the entire show is filled up, at least as far as the indoor spots go...You really can't wait til mid-May to register for an indoor spot to this event, and it fills up quicker and quicker each year. There should be an e mail address on the show's website if you want to contact them. They do have a large outdoor display on Saturday, in which cars register as they arrive. The setup times have been adjusted a little, because the show start time has been moved to Friday at Noon instead of 6pm. Work that into your plans too!

I will probably be down Thurs night to unload the car. BK, when are you getting there? It looks as though I won't be able to take Friday off, so I might need to leave the deuce keys with someone until I can get there Friday night.

Yes, Friday morning setup is from 8-11am. Then they evacuate the buildings, perform a clean sweep, and then start readmitting people at noon. This way all of the freeloaders who amble in during setup time are required to pay to re-enter. So, when they evacuate you, make sure you have your two entry passes!

This show was top notch. Had a great time. The quality of cars was incredible. The old drag racers were on hand to bs and sign autographs. Got to meet a few sYc members on Friday evening. Enjoyed talking to camarojoe, marlin, and Joe S and BKH from SCW. If I missed saying hello to anybody after the show Friday night at Hooters, I'll see you next time. A big thanks to all that participated in the York US 30 show. The SCR area had a great turnout. It was without a doubt one of the many hightlight areas of the show. Some of the vintage drag cars from the Fezell collection were just plain awsome. Hats off to Mark Hassett winning the Best Musclecar. There were lots of cars from that group that were just outstanding. I do believe we had the largest group in attendance. One thing that did bug me was not being in the new hall. President Bush had a rally there and it really hurt attendance Friday. I heard of a 3 hour shoutdown on route 30 and people were told the show was cancelled for Friday. The show rebounded Saturday and the weather both days was nice. A very good outside cruise had many rare cars there including a cool 69 L/72 Biscayne and many sweet Mopars and Fords. We are once again going back to York next year. As info comes available I will post it. Great seeing many board members there as well...BKH http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

A highlight of Saturday at the York US30 Dragway Muscle Car Madness event was an indoor cacklefest. A supercharged Dickie Harrell funny car was fired up on alcohol in the East Hall while Bill Stiles simultaneously started his SS/AA Hemi Barracuda in the West Hall. In total nearly 150 historic race cars were displayed in two large halls at the York Expo Center. Next year's event is already scheduled for July 8 &amp; 9, 2005 at the same location.</font>
