One of the most prestigious shows in the mid-west is the "Eyes on Design" show held each year in Metro Detroit. This invitation only event is set up similar to the Meadowbrook "Concourse de Elegance" and hosts spectators, media and participants from all over the U.S. and Canada.

The special attraction this year is the event's theme "The History of Racing". Each class is comprised of key vehicles from different forms of racing such as Trans Am, Indy, Funny Car, Dragsters, Salt Flats, and Sixties Muscle. Some of the outstanding entries include the So Cal Belly Tanker, the Pierson Bros. Coupe, the Mooneyes Streamliner, the '59 Stingray, an original Corvette Grand Sport, the '68 Dick Harrell Camaro and '68 Mr. Norm's Charger Funny Cars, the Silver Bullet GTX and more!

Several members will have their cars featured. They include Mark Hassett's '68 Baldwin Motion Camaro, Mike Guarise's '69 Arnie Beswick Drag GTO, Jim Mattison's '69 TA, Matt Berger's '02 ZL1 Camaro, and my husband's '69 Royal Bobcat RA V GTO. If you are in the mid-west, make this a must see show. The date is Sunday June 27. More info can be obtained by visiting the website at www.eyeson.org (http://www.eyeson.org) . Over 200 cars are expected.

NOTE: There is still an open slot at this time in the "Sixties Muscle Class". They are looking for a '69- '70 Yenko Chevelle or Nova. If you have this date available and would like to attend, please PM me with your phone number and I will pass it on to Bill. Thanks!

Rita,

I was asked to bring my car for the 1998 event. The theme was GM Design. For those of you that go, this is a true concors event. Cars are displayed in a static mode. Hoods and trunk closed. It is truely about the "look" of the car.

Really Good Cause. Please Support this show. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
