I know next to nothing about Mopars. Just based on the picture can you guys tell me a little about the cars options. I will be getting more information shortly, I just don't want to go into the conversation without any prior knowledge of the car. Also, a few websites could help too. Thanks.

From the small picture it looks to be a 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda. They came with a 340 six pack and other goodies only found on the AAR. Plymouth built 2,724 for street production. The AAR was Plymouth answer for the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans-Am sedan racing series.

The AAR Cudas are the more sought after cars and are worth more$$$also.They were the PREMO of the Cuda except for the Hemi Cudas.

According to the for sale page on this site your looking at the mid 30's to mid 40's for a numbers matching AAR cuda, and about 10K for junk.

Sad to say I sold mine in 83 for 3000, lemon twist Yellow (painted white by me) 727, 3.90 (original) and 4.56 quick change rear gears. It now resides somewhere NW of Augusta Maine.

Thanks guys. This one is unrestored except for paint which is 2 years old. He has no paper work. Bought the car locally from a dealer in Yonkers, NY 27 years ago. 2 owner, original motor but not trans. He is asking $35,000. What do you guys think? Is there much room to flip the car to break even? Make profit?

What is the VIN? The fifth digit must be a "J" for it to be an AAR Cuda. "J" was the engine code for the 340 Six Barrel engine. Do you have the fender tag codes?. The chassis VIN on top of the cowl area and the back of the radiator support and under the trunk weatherstrip must match the VIN and data tag info. Be careful with E-body cars (Cudas and Challengers) because the VIN plate is attached to the dashpad itself, which is easily swapped from car to car. It was not affixed to the car itself. You would be hard pressed to be able to flip a $35K AAR for a quick profit. That is about the current going rate unless it is a 100 point car, in which case the seller is probably way upside down in the car. The lack of a broadcast sheet or any paperwork reduces the value but not as much as, say a GM product because MOPARS have their engine codes in the VINS. This car's VIN should read something like BS23J0B100000, -NJSteve

The first one on this page noted as sold (lemon twist Yellow, 727) was mine. I emailed the seller and he was the third owner after I had it. Attached is what it looked like earlier this year.

When I sold it. I painted it white it was Lemon Twist Yellow Originally, but I didn't like yellow in 1979 when I had it painted.
