I'm looking for a project car to work on and would consider anything from a driver to a basket case: '70 LS6 Chevelle, '67 Z-28 or '67 BB Corvette (Coupe perferred). Any leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,

The last I called (a month ago)? Camaro Specialties in NY had a 1970 project LS-6 Chevelle. Don't know anything about the car but had to make a call for a friend.

Attached is the web page for Camaro Specialties. The Chevelle is not on their "cars for sale" list anymore. Give them a call, you never know maybe the deal fell through.

The Chevelle was not listed on their website. I only found out because I called and asked about their project cars.

Thanks. I spoke to the owner and it is a real car. He doesn't really want to sell it...just wants to know the value http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif That is the 3rd '67 Z that has been advertised for sale that really isn't??? BTW, the car is not in MN after all.

How long have you been looking for a car? It seems like ever since you have been here which has been almost 2 years you have been looking. Seems strange. If you have the cash usually there is a car available somewhere.....

I have been looking for an LS6 seriously for a month or so and have been looking for ANOTHER '67 Z-28 seriously for about a year. Last year I bought a '67 Z-28 and resold it to another board member and bought a '67 L78 that I resold to a friend. Also owned a 2002 Z06 last year and have a 2005 C6 on order...so if you are asking if I have the money...I think you have your answer. For what it's worth, I am always looking for a '67 Z-28, even when I owned two a few years ago I was looking for another. I'll keep the better of the cars and sell the other. I've owned over 75 muslce cars in my lifetime, so get used to seeing my ads...

Thanks guys...BTW, those are the original tires on the car still. Unfortunately, it had a pretty tough life for just being on the road a few years. It appears the entire front clip was replaced before the repaint. Also, when the new owner went to pick the car up, they found that the headrest seats had gone missing. Still, a very neat car to restore!

I hear you Ron. I was just chatting (via PM) with another member last night who had been looking for 4 years before he finally got his '67 Z. I think some people just don't understand how few of these cars change hands - especially how few good ones! I think a few more will surface if these prices continue. Keep searching...

It seems like more of the 69 JL8 cars pop up than the 67 Z28's. But the 67 Z28 is also similar to the 1970 L78 cars. Heck, I want one of each!

Steve, You want one too? Oh yeah, you already have one don't you! Want to sell it http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I just had an email from the guy in MN who bought the car. He was telling me how the 15 inch DF rally wheels with 7.35 red lines must not be original because the car should have 14 inch wheels http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Luckily for him, I'm an honest guy and set him straight http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

There are a WHOLE lot of people that fall into that category. Especially these days with a lot of newbies in the game.

Mark,
A lot of guys would have been happy to swap him those 15" rally's for 14" & not said a thing.

Thanks Rob. We all need someone looking out for us in the beginning. Jon Mello did this for me and I am very greatful for that. So, I'm just trying to do the same for another newbie!

No problem Jon...and thanks Steve! I think we're all pretty lucky that the majority of core '67 Z guys are pretty decent people http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif I'm hopefull that I will be back in the fold very soon. I hit the phones yesterday and called (or emailed) a number of '67 Z owners that I had contacted in the past about selling their cars. I got 4 that look like they are actually thinking seriously about selling! So keep your fingers crossed for me http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Two of the four I've lusted after for a long, long time...

The car mentioned above in the cars-on-line ad that was purchased by the guy in Rochester, MN may be for sale. He told me he would "probably" sell it if he got $35K for it. Contact me if anyone has any interest in it and I'll introduce you.
