View Full Version : COPO 9566AA
My search is finally over! I now have a 69 COPO Chevelle.I found this car through a add on this site. After speaking with the owner I drove to Ga. from NJ to see the car. Owner showed me copies of two build sheets and the broadcast sheet as well as warranty transfer papers. original owners registration, and warranty repair invoices from the selling dealer( motor replacement )showing a CE block. Car is Fathom green with a black bench seat, M-22( with vin stamp ) and original KQ rear. Body is amazingly solid with only minor rust so no panels will need to be placed. car appears to have been raced( no kidding ) and left to sit outside for a period of time as there is some surface rust. The previous owner has had the car for close to ten years before selling it to me. Lots of questions coming as the resto begins. I'll post pics soon.

You gotta take out the "_removemefirst_" from the email addresses...the forum software puts that in there to keep us all from being bombarded by spam. Thanks again!

Congratulations Al, cool COPO. It will be a fun car to restore and I'm sure it will be awesome when you are done.
Rick, car is in no shape to go anywhere! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif, but that will be changing slowly, lots of work ahead but it will be worth it in the long run. I'll send you some pics.

I thought Chuck H. was introducing an Area at Goodletsville set aside for cars as found,or undergoing a resto in progress?
You see more car functions doing this today.
What once was considered a basket case,is now drawing crowds. We have over restored so much,so often, that we want to see the other side of the coin.
We are a Fickled lot! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I would think that with a $100K car the seller could take some better pictures and tell a little more about the car.

Hamburg, NY....I think Gene Chaas from Team Chevelle site lives there. Perhaps he can be of some help with history??
Bill, already spoje with Gene and the dealer is in his hometown. We will discuss it further at the Nigra show.
