I've been totally burned out on cars,*gasp* but I've finally got the bug again. I'm looking at a '70 Barracuda and I've checked all across the 'net and come up empty...is there a good source of info on any "bodies in white" or any other factory supported programs in '69-70? I have someone who says this car was a body in white issued to a racer but I cannot confirm and of course no real documentation... Not that I really need or want it, but if it is it's always nice to pass it on as such...if not, to kill the story there! It's nice enough either way, but I'd like confirmation. TIA (I browse through here every so often, I'm just not real vocal http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

It's possible. Do you have the first 6 digits of the vin#. How about a build sheet or fender tag. Patrick

I didn't think that the "Body-In-White" cars got VIN's, much less broadcast sheets ?? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I thought since the 68 Hemi-Factory drag cudas had vin's, their may be a chance. Patrick http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Unless it was a Sox and Martin car the only other body in white cars I ever heard of were the ones Dan Gurney used to make his race cars for the 70 Trans Am race season and they didnt come with any numbers stamped on them. He put his own Gurney numbers on them.
