Remember, the price guide is not a bible. When was the last time you saw a base Firebird convertible sell for 42,000? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

If it has opt. RA, it's a good car. I did see a decent blue 4spd convt in N.Y. on ebay. I have a 69 RAIV/4spd silver convt. I really love the 69 birds. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Sounds like a neat car. Pontiacs don't bring what an equivalent Chevy would though. That's not all bad, you get a lot of car for the price. The 400's are underestimated by everyone who hasn't had one. Mine will easily pull away from big block '69 Chevelles, and I don't have ram air. I do have a/c, power windows, tilt, power trunk, a hood tach, power brakes and power steering, and on and on. You wouldn't find all that in very many Chevy's.

My prediction is Firebirds will come back price wise big time in the very near future. They were a more expensive car originally and will climb soon, but will never reach Chevy prices.

Last time I checked 69 Trans Ams bring more $$ then a 69 Z-28. ( Excluding real JL-8 and documented cross ram cars). I have seen Ram Air III 4 speed Firebirds change hands for 29K and they needed to be restored. I would agree that run of the mill birds unless they are ram air cars are iffy.
