Bob,

This is my 1969 L88 Corvette. One of only a handful originally ordered with sidepipes. Other, mandatory options include heavy duty suspension, posi rear axle (3.70), power/heavy duty brake system, transistor ignition. Also included were tinted glass and heavy duty 4-speed transmission. Documentation includes the bill of sale, two tank stickers, pre-delivery sheet and protect-o-plate. The original title as well as all subsequent titles and a notarized letter from the original owner. Awards to date include: Bloomington Gold, Bloomington Special Collection, Bloomington Gold Hall of Fame, NCRS Top Flight (chapter, regional and national), NCRS Performance Verification and NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence. It scored 98.3% last time out at the National Convention.

I have owned this car for eight years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Wouldn't it be great to have a 69 COPO Camaro to keep it company on winter nights in the garage?

Hope the pics aren't too large. I really enjoy the Yenko sight.

Take care,

Mark Donnally

Beautiful Vette. What was the 2.7% point deduction for? Just curious.

First off -- WOW! What a rocket - Great Car! Did you happen to bring the Vette to Canada this past summer? If so, I saw your car!!!

In the NCRS Judging system 1 point is equal to 45 mini-points... my guess with a car that clean... he got knocked on little things here and there... happens to everyone...
Great Ride!

Thanks to all for the kind comments regarding my L88. I just noticed the Subway sandwich wrapper under the car in one of the shots. This is undoubtedly one of the most special cars I've ever owned. Most of the points lost during judging were for over restoration, too nice, too glossy, etc. It was a load of fun to PV the car last spring in CLT. I definitely exceeded the posted speed limits a time or two (in second gear).

I just sold it a couple of days ago to a collector in Indiana. After having it for eight years, I would expect to have sellers remorse at some point. I did get a bunch of big green daddyo's http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif for it and used some of the proceeds to buy a very nice 69 L78 SS Chevelle with only 13,855 original miles. It retains all the original (born with) components with the exception of tires, battery, etc. and is in the sequence to be restored by the Super Car Workshop in Latrobe, PA. I also have my eye on a very low mile 69 L88 coupe that I hope to get at some point.

I surely do enjoy this website with the available knowledge regarding Camaroes, Chevelles and Novas among others.

Take care,

Mark
