AFTER THE SALE OF MY BLACK 66 SS 396/360 CHEVELLE THAT WAS FEATURED IN MEMBERS RIDES A WHILE BACK, A FEW FRIENDS ASSURED ME THAT I MADE A MISTAKE SELLING IT AND WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO REPLACE IT. I FELT THE SAME WAY. WELL AFTER WATCHING THE CAR BELOW GO THRU A FEW FRIENDS HANDS { WHO ARE MEMBERS HERE } I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE THE BLACK CARS REPLACEMENT. UPON INSPECTING THIS CAR I KNEW IT WAS COMING HOME WITH ME. THIS RARE CAR IS A 67 SS 396/375 CHEVELLE WITH 23,000 ORIGINAL MILES FINISHED IN ITS ORIGINAL BUTTERNUT YELLOW WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK INTERIOR. ONLY 612 OF THESE CARS WERE BUILT IN 67 AND WHAT MAKES THIS ONE SUPER RARE IS THIS IS 1 OF 34 BUILT L78 CARS BUILT AT THE FREMONT PLANT AND RECEIVED CALIFORNIA SMOG. THE CAR WAS SOLD NEW AT STACK CHEVROLET IN PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA. OPTIONS INCLUDE BUCKETS, CONSOLE, M21 TRANSMISSION, BLINKER TACH WITH GUAGES, POWER DISC BRAKES, ADDED WOOD WHEEL. THIS CAR RETAINS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL SHEETMETAL AS WELL AS ORIGINAL INTERIOR WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CARPET. DOCUMENTATION INCLUDES PROTECTOPLATE, LOAN CONTRACT, PICTURES AND REGISTRATIONS FROM THE DAY, SIGNED AFFIDAVIT FROM ORIGINAL OWNER DOCUMENTING CAR AND ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL. AS I ALWAYS SAY "WHERES THE NEXT ONE?" THIS IS A CAR THAT WILL BACK THAT STATEMENT UP. THE RAREST CAR I HAVE OWNED TO DATE.... ENJOY THE PICS !!!

Was butternut yellow still available on any GM products in 1970, or was it dropped when Gobi Beige was introduced? I Was just wondering, because I've seen variations on both colors and some look nearly identical.

69 was the last time it was called Butternut Yellow and its one color you dont see many of on 69 Camaros.

Gobi Beige filled the color chart in place of the BY, completely different colors though.
