I remember that issue of Car Review, there was some mega rich stock broker from Austin TX that bought or was buying every car on that list, wonder how he made out.?

Is that why the ZL-1 is so slow? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

My Z looks good at #36. I don't have 4.56's, but 3.73's. Time for a cross-ram set up I guess. Just kidding! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Well, I'm doing fine. Still trying to collect all fifty cars and still filthy rich.
Thanks for asking........

I think that that issue came out in '84 or '85. Actually I was in my late 20's when I visited Richard Tisdales location on the outskirts of Ausitn. Number 17 is an LS6 silver Corvette that he found and bought. I went for a ride in that car when Richard owned it. I'm happy to anounce that that car has returned back to Austin within the past two weeks. A nice low mile Survivor car, actually a four star Bow Tie car, not yet an official Survivor.

Tim,

-------Congratulations I think! For those of us who are developmentally challenged (that would be ME) is the LS6 in your garage? Can you give us a few specifics? Which trans? Deluxe interior? Etc....Bill S

-------Oh, and how about that 66 427/425 in the number three spot?????

Bill, not in my garage. A friend purchased two LS6 Corvettes that were at the Waco Regional last November. Here's a link to all the cars, some nice ones were in attendance. Silver coupe, M22 and original paint/interior and blue coupe, automatic and restored.

There is a good shot of my green '67 18,000 mile Benchmark tri-power car and my old red '64 vintage race car that won June Sprints at Road America in '67 and '68. It is next to the '63 ZO6 Corvette that ran at Sebring in 1963, blue with white and red stripe driven by Delmo Johnson.

Charlie, your old blue '65 fuelie coupe is in one of the shots.

Tim,

------Well,,, The LS6 cant be my old car (thought it might have been). My old car was an M21 car. However!!!!!! The Nassau Blue 65 fuelie roadster (pictured) is one of my barn-finds. The fella that ended up with it really did me proud with the quality resto. What a car!!! What a resto!!!!! Love those 65 Fuelies!!!!!!!!!........Bill S

--------Geez, forgot ,,,,,,, Green car looks awsum!!!!! As it should. I truly believe it is the best untouched 67 on the planet!.....Not much different than how it looked in the original owners garage when Stretch and I first saw it!!!!!!! Im happy it has such a good home.......Bill S again.

Are you saying your old LS6 had an M-21 from the factory?
Can you elaborate?

----Yup! It was a 71 LS6 Corvette. They could have been ordered either way. The car Tim mentioned was also a 71 LS6 Corvette.........Bill S

Bill, thanks for the compliment on the green car. It is amazing. Spoke with the original owner last week and he told me he got caught in the rain when it was new and vowed to never let it get wet again.
