Jim Hayter's S/S Camaro, '71 AHRA event at Palm Beach International Dragway

Article states that Jim had joined the Gibb team just a couple weeks prior to the event (Spring of '71), but had already given great results.

Does anyone know the story on this car? It obviously has red interior and the one ZL-1 with red interior was not sold through Gibb. Not to mention having RS trim. Is this car possible a Rally Sport, red interior, iron block COPO? If so, what a unique car it was.

I hope everyone who is reading this post realizes these are 2 cars. The Gibb car is the #1 ZL1, the other is Jim's personal car. If I run into Jim at LaHarpe I'll ask for more details on his car.

No plans to build one at the moment, Sam. Currently working on a '69 Camaro for Tom Kasch.
